Welcome, young farmers of Ireland, to Issue #3 of AG MAG! We’re delighted to have you with us again for another mini-mag filled with all things farming and agriculture!
We hope you enjoyed the last issue of AG MAG, where we showcased the incredible work of scientists and researchers from Ireland’s agricultural sector. Through The Science of Farming, we wanted to highlight
the fascinating and vital scientific efforts happening not just in labs and research centres, but also in the fields and sheds of farms across Ireland.
This month, we’re going dairy crazy as we invite you to dive into our mega serving of fun facts about our world-famous milk and dairy products. Don’t miss the From Grass to Glass infographic on pages 8 and 9, and meet Ireland and Leinster rugby star Garry Ringrose in Ag Mag Meets. Not only will you discover the wonders of dairy farming and the benefits of milk, but you’ll also get a delicious overnight oats recipe straight from Garry himself!
If John Deere is your tractor of choice, you won’t want to miss the monstrous 9RX 830 featured on pages 14 and 15. Be sure to scan the QR code on page 16 for your chance to win a giant wall poster of this tracked machine in action!
As always, if you would like to get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. You can email hello@agmag.ie!
Until next month, farm well and farm safely!
The AG MAG mission
Here at AG MAG, we believe that you (the young farmers of Ireland) can be powerful agents of change, within both your families and communities. By sharing knowledge about agriculture and responsible farming, you can help build a culture of farm safety and respect that starts at a young age and extends throughout the family and community. Remember: AG READERS TODAY, AG LEADERS TOMORROW.
